Description

The last ropeway of Sawiris Skiarena between Andermatt and Sedrun goes into operation on the Oberalp Pass. The lower terminus is attached to the building of the military cable car which continues to exist. The military cable car crosses the civil cable car 300 m after the lower terminus and leads about 60 m higher up into the summit rock of the Schneehüenerstock (Unghürstöckli).

The ropeway has already been officially opened and technically approved, but commercial startup is on Saturday, December 22, 2018. One week before commissioning the interior construction was not yet completed, because the catering business had priority at the mountain station. Added to this were improvements that were requested during the technical examination. A stressful week for the workers of the manufacturer. Switzerland, Dec 15, 2018. (1/10)
