Summary
[edit]DescriptionObere-Baera Grosser-Heuberg Schwaebische-Alb.jpg |
(vgl. Europäische Hauptwasserscheide). English: Upper Bära, West Swabian Alb. geological research found traces of a very huge drainage system of Pliocene time, which drained even part of the Black Forest to the Upper Danube. That former water system used both, the valleys of the Ur-Schlichem and the Ur-Bära. Today the Alb village Tieringen is the location, where the rivers issue. The Schlichem now starts its way towards the Neckar and the Bära towards the Danube. |
