Description: The Breitachklamm is a gorge created by the Breitach in the Allgäu.

The creation occurred postglacial about 8,000 years ago along a disturbance system in the Schrattenkalk.
It have wall heights up to 87 m and is the deepest gorge of the Bavarian Alps as well as the deepest rocky gorge of Central Europe.

Place: City district Tiefenbach, Municipality Oberstdorf, District Oberallgäu, Administrative region Swabia, Bavaria, Germany

Location: Southwest of Oberstdorf
