Summary

Description
Keine weiteren Gussmarken.
English: Open air museum Roscheider Hof: The name of the ox tongue iron comes from the fact that an ox tongue-shaped iron wedge can be inserted from behind into the inside of the iron, which is cast in one piece. This is first heated on a cooker, then pushed in and the bottom of the iron is heated. The interior can be closed with a flap so that the iron wedge cannot fall out to the back. The Rhenish-shaped iron is attached to the iron with two screws. The bottom and the curved top of the interior has 1 rib at the top to fix the wedge. At the bottom - in order not to heat the bottom of the iron too much - there is a rib in the shape of an "S". No other casting marks.
