English: Regular octagonal tile with eight equal-length sides and four paths linking the eight sides. The file name describes the paths as follows:

"Octiles abcd PQ-RS-TU-VW", where

  • abcd refers to the adjacency of the paths connecting sides
    • a is the number of paths with adjacency 3 (i.e., the sides linked by these paths have three adjacent sides in between; for the case of the regular octagon, this means the path links opposite sides)
    • b is the number of paths with adjacency 2
    • c is the number of paths with adjacency 1
    • d is the number of paths with adjacency 0
  • PQ-RS-TU-VW refers to the specific rotational configuration of the tile displayed. PQ are a linked pair, as are RS, TU, and VW. Sides are numbered from the bottom edge, proceeding sequentially anti-clockwise.
