Description
Čeština: Pamětní odznak (o rozměrech cca 33 x 33 milimetrů) odbojové skupiny „K. O. S.“ je z postříbřeného bronzu s barevným smaltovým dekorem. Odbojová skupina „K. O. S.“ (zkratka z počátečních písmen sousloví: „klid-odvaha-síla“ či „kázeň-odvaha-síla“) působila v letech 1942 až 1944 v Praze, ve východních Čechách a na Plzeňsku, kde se soustředila na menší sabotáže a především na zpravodajskou činnost. Skupina byla však již od roku 1942 infiltrovaná gestapem a zneužívaná v akcích namířených proti domácímu i zahraničnímu protiněmeckému odboji. Dílčí zatčení některých členů skupiny pak proběhlo na jaře 1943, k definitivnímu rozbití skupiny gestapem nakonec došlo v roce 1944.
English: Commemorative badge (approx. 33 x 33 millimetres) of the resistance group "K. O. S." is made of silver-plated bronze with coloured enamel decoration. Resistance group "K. O. S." (abbreviation from the initial letters of the phrase: "calm-courage-force" or "discipline-courage-force") was active between 1942 and 1944 in Prague, East Bohemia and Pilsen, where it concentrated on minor sabotage and mainly on intelligence activities. However, the group was infiltrated by the Gestapo as early as 1942 and abused in actions against the domestic and foreign anti-German resistance. Partial arrests of some of the group's members took place in the spring of 1943, and the group was finally broken up by the Gestapo in 1944.
