Čeština: Oldřich Kocián (* 13. prosince 1888 Humpolec – 16. března 1942 koncentrační tábor Osvětim) byl majitelem soukenického zasilatelského obchodu. V Československé obci sokolské (ČOS) vykonával funkci starosty Sokola Humpolec. Od roku 1941 působil jako starosta Sokolské župy Havlíčkovy. V rámci Akce Sokol byl zatčen gestapem 8. října 1941 a vězněn v policejní věznici gestapa v Malé pevnosti Terezín, odkud byl deportován 15. ledna 1942 do koncentračního tábora Osvětim, kde zahynul.
English: Oldřich Kocián (* 13 December 1888 in Humpolec - 16 March 1942 in Auschwitz concentration camp) was the owner of a dry goods forwarding shop. In the Czechoslovak Sokol Community (ČOS) he served as the mayor of Sokol Humpolec. From 1941 he served as mayor of the Sokol County of Havlíčkův. He was arrested by the Gestapo as part of the Sokol Action on 8 October 1941 and imprisoned in the Gestapo police prison in the Small Fortress of Terezín, from where he was deported on 15 January 1942 to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where he perished. |
