Summary[edit]

Description
English: When you're cruising the Inside Passage along BC's central and northern coast, land occupies a surprising amount of the 360-degree horizon. It's only when you visit the west side of barrier islands such as Calvert Island that you see open ocean that stretches uninterrupted all the way to Asia. In this photo, that would be the rightmost third of the image.
