Summary
[edit]DescriptionOperation Ruman C-17.jpg |
English: An RAF C-17 Globemaster III from 99 Sqn being loaded with a 230 Sqn Puma helicopter from RAF Benson. The C-17 delivered the helicopter to the British Virgin Islands as part of the UK government task group which was mounted to help those affected by hurricane Irma in 2017.
The C-17 was hugely important to the RAF during Operation Ruman, enabling them to transport vast amounts of personnel and equipment to what became the UK’s largest joint military and civilian operation since 2011. |
