Description
Nederlands: Kazemat Overmeer maakte onderdeel uit van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie en ligt aan de Randweg in Overmeer (Nederhorst den Berg). De kazemat kwam, volgens een inscriptie boven de deur, in 1935 gereed. Zelfs als de Horstermeerpolder geïnundeerd zou worden, bleef het in de kazemat droog.Voor de mitrailleur is er een groot schietgat aan de aanliggende rechterzijde waarmee de provinciale weg Hilversum-Haarlem werd gedekt.
English: Dutch VIS-kazemat Overmeer 1935. The kazemat is built higher than its surroundings with a view in the direction of Sluis t' Hemeltje and further on to Fort Kijkuit.
