Description
Ek self, soos jy sien, is swak, en my diere is weg. Ek het nege kinders. Hul ma is dood.
English: Osman Adbi Nur, 72, is from Kulaley village:

"It's been five years since this water point last had water. We get our water from Elado which is six miles away from here, using donkeys and donkey carts.

“A majority of the livestock are dead, but our problem now lies with the human beings. The mothers, children, elderly and orphans are facing a big risk. We are facing a lot of problems in getting that water. There is not enough water to wash clothes. There is not enough water to drink; to cater for mothers who are giving birth; and for the sick. And for the children who are in school there is no water to cook for them.

“Myself, as you see, I am weak, my animals are gone. I have nine kids. Their mother has died. I have no animals and I am this age."
