Wikimedia Commons hosts a duplicate image file (i.e. Inceville Studios 1.jpg) obtained from the Santa Monica Public Library that indicates the image dated as 1916, even though it is dated as circa 1910 from another source within the description below.

Description: Printed on reverse: In the early 1900s, several thousand acres were leased for the fledgling movie industry in Santa Inez Canyon north of Santa Monica. Known as Inceville, the site was used for silent films well into the 1920s. Some of the street scenes and other backdrops built on the site are visible in this photograph.
