| Description |
Pacific Partnership (PP) is an annual deployment of forces from the United States Navy (USN) Pacific Fleet, in cooperation with regional governments and military forces, along with humanitarian and non-government organizations. As the Navy’s experts for construction, engineering, and facilities maintenance/infrastructure, NNAVFAC Pacific has continued it’s support and participation in 2018 for this critical endeavor. One recent stop on the 2018 PP schedule of events included a two day seminar on the Island of Yap (Federated States of Micronesia), which was coordinated by NAVFAC Pacific Contingency Engineering Lt. Andrew Smith that showcased the following NAVFAC led presentations: Seminar on Safety Program 101, Construction/Industrial Safety Management, Building a Positive Safety Culture, and Safety Risk Management Strategies led by NAVFAC Pacific Safety Director Emric Katada. Attendees included approximately 20 to 25 managers, supervisors, engineers, and shop employees from the Yap Department of Public Works each day. (Photo provided by NAVFAC Pacific Safety) |
