Description
Català: Pacífic d'or de Barcelona, Pere IV. Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya). El Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya va adquirir el 2015 i dipositar al museu un excepcional exemplar de pacífic d’or de Barcelona de Pere IV, dit el Conestable de Portugal. Pere IV, infant portuguès i nét del darrer comte d’Urgell, va ser proclamat rei d'Aragó i comte de Barcelona durant la Guerra Civil (1462-1472) que va enfrontar les institucions de Catalunya amb Joan II, el Sense Fe. Per aquest motiu arrossega històricament l’estigma de rei intrús i proscrit. A partir del dia 10 de maig de 2016, la moneda recentment adquirida s’exposa a les sales del Gabinet Numismàtic.
