English: Painted piano in the music salon, Cassan Abbey, France. The salon was dedicated to Madame de Brimont, mistress of the Prince of Conti, lord of Pézenas who bought the chateau in 1791. Legend has it that Madame de Brimont's ghost plays the paino at night-time. This illusion is perpetuated by a modern electronic piano that has been painted to look like an 18th century piano that will play music under the direction of an invisible ghost. In reality, a microphone picks up the request and the music is played by an operator in another room.
Français : Piano peint dans le salon de musique, Abbaye de Cassan, France. Le salon était dédié à Madame de Brimont, maîtresse du prince de Conti, seigneur de Pézenas, qui acheta le château en 1791. La légende raconte que Madame de Brimont fantôme joue du piano la nuit. Cette illusion est perpétuée par un piano électronique moderne qui a été peint pour ressembler à un piano du XVIIIe siècle qui jouera de la musique à la demande sous la direction d’un fantôme invisible. En réalité, un microphone enregistre la demande et la musique est lue par un opérateur dans une autre pièce.
