Description
Español: Palacio de La Aljafería, Zaragoza. Fue residencia de recreo de los reyes de Sarakosta, nombre que le dieron los musulmanes a la ciudad de Cesaraugusta. Actualmente es la sede de las Cortes de Aragón. El monarca que inició la construcción de la Aljafería, entre las huertas que rodeaban la ciudad, fue Abu Yafar Al-Muqtadir. Este monarca era matemático, astrónomo y poeta. La Aljafería fue la construcción civil más relevante del siglo IX en el occidente del Islam. En este palacio se encuentra la llamada torre del Trovador, cuya parte inferior es del siglo IX.
