Summary
[edit]DescriptionPalmer sites 2011 Longcot Oxfordshire 026.jpg |
English: Longcot, Oxfordshire, England, showing the east end of the Church of England parish church of St Mary the Virgin. The stone urns on the tower were removed in the 1970s for safety. This is a 2011 comparison photograph to complement the 1935 photograph of the same view by Fred C Palmer: File:Fred C Palmer Longcot 1935 001.jpg. In the original picture the graveyard was being extended and marked out by a temporary fence. The elms in the original picture have now gone, and the signpost has been moved. When Palmer took the original picture, he was standing on the wide verge on the far side of the road. The road has since been widened but the verge is still very wide. |
