Description
Čeština: Pomník s názvem Milník času – bigbít z roku 2009 se nachází na veřejně přístupném místě (Chvojkovy lomy; Plzeň 2 - Slovany, Východní Předměstí; GPS souřadnice 49.735392, 13.399852). Pomník vyjadřuje symbolicky fakt, že Plzeň byla v dobách komunistické totality jakýmsi „mostem k big–beatu“. (V Plzni bylo možno přijímat vysílání zahraničního radia Luxembourg, kde se prezentovala tehdejší moderní západní hudba.) Autor: Jaroslav Šindelář (* 11. června 1950, Plzeň)
English: The monument called Milestone of Time - Big Beat from 2009 is located in a publicly accessible place (Chvojkovy lomy; Plzeň 2 - Slovany, Východní Předměstí; GPS coordinates 49.735392, 13.399852). The monument symbolically expresses the fact that Plzeň was a kind of "bridge to big-beat" during the communist totalitarianism (in Plzeň it was possible to receive broadcasts of the foreign Radio Luxembourg, where modern Western music was presented at that time). Author: Jaroslav Šindelář (* 11 June 1950, Plzeň).
