Description
Español: Durante la Guerra Cristera, el ejército utilizó una de las paredes de piedra junto al ábside para convertirla en muro de castigo, donde probablemente cientos de personas murieron por su fe, aún hoy son visibles los agujeros que causaron las balas. Al concluir la edificación del santuario, dicho muro no fue modificado y permanece intacto, como un triste recuerdo de las personas que ahí murieron.
