Description
Español: Desde 1813 se tiene constancia de la construcción del templo parroquial del Pueblo de Cidra, bajo la advocación de San Juan de Nepomuceno. Fue el 23 de noviembre de 1818 cuando tuvo su primer párroco, el Presbítero Juan Antonio Mombrun, fue este sacerdote, quien solicitó al Tribunal Eclesiástico y Vice patronato Real de la Isla que el nombre de la Iglesia sea "Nuestra Señora del Carmen". Para el año 1952 los Presbíteros, Padre Eduardo Berrios y el Padre Alejandro Santiago Arce, reconstruyeron la actual iglesia. Un dato curioso de la historia de la Parroquia del pueblo de Cidra es que su altar original fue trasladado a la Catedral de San Juan.
