Summary
[edit]DescriptionParson Capen House National Historic Landmark, Topsfield, Massachusetts (1683).jpg |
English: A remarkably preserved First Period home in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Built as a parsonage for minister Joseph Capen, the structure embodies the characteristics of 17th century Colonial New England architecture, complete with a steeply pitched roof, second story overhang, a massive, central Elizabethan chimney, slightly asymmetric fenestration, batten doors, and pendant ornamentation. |
