Title
English: A winter day in Østerbrogade, Copenhagen.
Dansk: Vinterdag på Østerbrogade.
Object type painting
object_type QS:P31,Q3305213
Description
The experts at Bonhams referred to this painting as Figures in a town square in winter. They were not wrong, but might have been more precise. The scene is Østerbrogade in Copenhagen, near the square Trianglen. The establishment Østerbro Tapet & Farvehandel A/S (in no. 33) features prominently. The artist has reused his wife and daughter from a 1912 painting at the same spot - and they have not aged a bit - see "Other versions".
