Description Photo shows typical condition of roadway segments that were very rough in localized areas with transverse and longitudinal cracks and had surface disintegration distresses. Some areas had localized edge drop-offs. All were part of a FHWA, Highways for LIFE (HfL) supported VTrans demonstration project to rehabilitate 3 segments of US 4A and VT 30 using innovative technologies (warm-mix asphalt, intelligent compaction, Safety Edge℠).
