Description
English: Newspaper advertisement by the German cigarette factory Greiling in the Dresdner Anzeiger on April 16, 1927. The occasion was the extensive tour through Europe by Uruguayan football club CA Peñarol who played the Dresdner SC. In translation, the text saysː „The South Americans come to Dresden on the first feast day of Easter [= Easter Sunday]. Welcoming of the guests by handing over the cigarette Geiling-Auslese [= Greiling selection] for five Pfennig [= pennies], which is held in high esteem by all football players due to its mildness, digestibility and its wonderful aroma.“
Deutsch: Anzeige der Zigarettenfabrik Greiling im Dresdner Anzeiger vom 16. April 1927. Anlass war die Europatour des uruguayischen Fußballvereins CA Peñarol, der gegen den Dresdner SC spielte.
