[edit]
Description
English: Boundary Stone at St Clare, Penzance from the Madron side. This stone marks the boundary between Madron Parish and Penzance from 1614 to 1934. In 1614 Penzance became a borough, establishing it as a town independent from the surrounding rural area. The boundary was extended in 1934 to include Gulval, Heamoor, Mousehole, Newlyn and Paul.
