Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Early in the morning of February 19, 1904, industrialist Joseph Canfield of Bridgeport, Connecticut became very illl; by the time a physician arrived, he had died. He was 30. His maid, a Swedish immigrant whose name may have been "Theolonda Anderson" (or "Yolanda",or "Linda"?) was also dead; however, his wife survived, as did her pet terriers. After an investigation, authorities concluded that the deaths were the result of asphyxiation by coal gas.
