Summary

[edit]
Description
English: As explained in a notice in the museum, in a temple precinct in Uruk dedicated to a goddess Inanna a type of wall with clay cones was built. Such facades were built in other sites in Mesopotamia. Ur, Eridu and Habuba Kabira are mentioned. The ones shown here are from Uruk and date from the second half of the 4th millennium BC. As several pictures of this type of decoration were already in a category called Eanna I add them there. One should remember the whole Eanna complex contains more.
