Footnotes

The Escape was an 183 ton Brig built in 1861 by J and T Le Huquet, St Catherine, Jersey. (Near the White Tower). The vessel was owned by G.N. Quesne. In the Lloyds Register of Shipping 1866-7 additional notes refer to "Sheathed with Yellow Metal 1866 copper fastened. Damage repairs 1866 Destined Voyage South America".
