Original Caption: "1st Lt. Bert C. Engel, VI Corps Detachment Commander of the War Crimes Branch, U.S. Seventh Army, and Franz Ringer, formerly of the Austrian Counterintelligence Division, a prisoner at Dachau for two and one-half years, and now acting as chief civilian investigator for the War Crimes Commission, in Innsbruck, make a positive identification from a photograph of the body of Robert Moser, beaten to death by the Gestapo on or about 25 April 1945. His body was dumped into a common grave, and has been exhumed by the WCB for decent reburial. Hall, Austria." Original Field Number: ETO-HQ-45-36653.
