Français : Portrait de Pierre-Nicolas Laurisset, né à Paris le 1er mars 1764, participe à l'impression du Moniteur universel depuis sa fondation en 1789; de 1796 à 1801, fait partie des théophilantropes et administre la paroisse de Saint-Jacques du Haut-Pas à Paris, renommée Temple de la Bienfaisance. L'un de ses discours comme prédicateur, Sur la superstition et la religion naturelle, a été imprimé dans le recueil Recueil de discours prononcés dans divers temples de théophilantropes (Paris, au bureau des ouvrages de la Théophilantropie, années VI et VII (1798-99). Fin juillet 1830, alors âgé de 66 ans, habitant au 21 rue de la Harpe et à titre de chef de l'imprimerie du "Moniteur", il témoigne à propos de la diffusion des ordonnances royales dans son journal.

"L'habitude du monde m'a accoutumé à avoir
beaucoup de tolérance pour les faiblesses; mais
aussi la réflexion m'a inspiré beaucoup de respect
pour les vertus; j'ai toujours eu trop de philosophie
pour faire cas de l'opinion; mais cependant j'ai évité
de la braver autant qu'il m'a été possible;j'ai eu trop
de jugement pour prendre les ridicules et le jargon
de la Société, mais pour cela je n'en ai pas évité l'esprit;
j'ai aussi éprouvé de l'amour, mais pour me faire
une idée des passions; enfin je connais les douceurs
de l'amitié, mais j'en éviterai toujours l'enthousiasme."
