Deutsch: Pinsel und Feder in grau und schwarz, Übertragungslinien.
Dieses Blatt gehört zu den berühmtesten von Pieter Bruegel. Bis in den Himmelsbereich ist die gesamte Darstellung von Fischen und fischartigen Fantasiegeschöpfen überschwemmt. Der Vater und sein kleiner Sohn im Ruderboot im Vordergrund der Federzeichnung beobachten, wie Fische aller Größen aus den Bäuchen von wiederum größeren Exemplaren herausgeschnitten werden. Die Moral des Dargestellten ist augenscheinlich: So groß und kräftig man auch ist, gibt es immer einen Kräftigeren, dessen Opfer man wird. |
