Avec l’automne arrivent les grands vols de Ramiers, qui se concentrent par milliers le long des défilés du Jura, en route vers le sud de la France et l’Espagne où ils passeront la mauvaise saison. Les grasses palombes lancées à pleine vitesse sont les cibles privilégiées du Faucon pèlerin et de l’Autour, qui prélèvent leur dîme au passage, mais aussi des tireurs embusqués qui les accueillent par des volées de plomb.
