עברית: ביקור במזכרת בתיה ,Original Image Name: ביקור במזכרת בתיה ,Notes: מַזְכֶּרֶת בַּתְיָה היא מועצה מקומית הסמוכה לרחובות. מזכרת בתיה הוקמה כמושבה בשנת 1883 ביוזמתו של הרב שמואל מוהליבר על ידי הברון אדמונד ג'יימס דה רוטשילד. שמה המקורי היה "עקרון" ולבקשת הברון, במהלך ביקורו במקום באפריל 1887, תושביה החליפו את שמה למזכרת בתיה על שם אם הברון, בטי סלומון דה רוטשילד. מזכרת בתיה הוכרזה כמועצה מקומית בשנת 1952. בסוכות ראשית אוקטובר 1882 שכנע הרב שמואל מוהליבר, ממנהיגי חובבי ציון, את הברון דה רוטשילד מפריז לתמוך בתוכנית שיזם. מוויקיפדיה ,Location: מזכרת בתיה - MAZKERET BATYA
