Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_71467_DSC08241.JPG Notes: מנזר גורני גורננסקי -עליון נמצא בעין כרם ובו מתגוררות נזירות רוסיות אורתודוקסיות פרבוסלביות. כמו מתחמים רבים אחרים ששייכים לכנסייה האורתודוקסית הרוסית בארץ ישראל הוא מוכר גם בשמו הערבי quotמוסקוביהquot.בשנת 1871 נרכש המתחם עבור הכנסייה הרוסית אורתודוקסית על ידי הארכימנדריט אנטונין קפוסטין . בתחילה המתחם שימש כאכסנית צליינים. בשנת 1882 בנה קפוסטין את הכנסייה הראשונה שהוקדשה לאיקונין של המדונה מקאזאן שנמצאת בכנסייה. מימין לכניסה של הכנסייה ישנהה אבן שממנה על פי המסורת הטיף יוחנן המטבילויקיפדיה
