עברית: גוש של 32 שכונות וותיקות בלב ירושלים, שנבנו בין אמצע המאה ה-19 לאמצע המאה ה-20. השכונות הראשונות נבנו על ידי יהודים יוצאי העיר העתיקה (אנשי היישוב הישן) כחלק מתהליך היציאה מהחומות, ואילו החדשות יותר הוקמו על ידי בני עדות המזרח שעלו ארצה לאחר קום המדינה. כיום רוכשים את חלק מהבתים אנשים אמידים המשפצים את הבתים ברמה גבוהה מאוד.קיימת במקום אוכלוסייה חרדית החיה במסגרות קהילתיות המקיימות אורח חיים דתי המביא קבוצות רבות לצפות בו בחגים, בעיקר בחנוכה לסיורי חנוכיות.
