Description
Suomi: Savonlinnan ortodoksinen seurakunta rakennutti pikkukirkon vuonna 1846 arkkitehti L. T. J. Viscontin suunnitelmien mukaan. Kirkko vihittiin Pyhän Sakariaan ja Pyhän Elisabethin kirkoksi. Savonlinnan luterilainen seurakunta osti kirkon vuonna 1938 ja käytti sitä pääkirkkonaan 1940-luvun ajan tuomiokirkon tuhouduttua talvisodan pommituksissa. Kirkko on ollut Savonlinnan ja Säämingin seurakuntien yhteiskirkkona kuntien yhdistymisestä, vuodesta 1973 lähtien. Maaliskuun lopussa 2017 kirkko siirtyi ortodoksisen Savonlinnan Pikkukirkko -kulttuuriyhdistys ry:n omistukseen.
