[edit]En marzo de 2006 aparecieron pingüinos muertos en Península Valdés, provincia del Chubut, Argentina. Los científicos explicaron que el fenómeno se debió a una "selección natural" porque las nidadas fueron grandes. Las muertes generaron peocupación. La mayoría de los pingüinos muertos fueron pichones que no llegaron a alimentarse. En la imagen, aparece el periodista chubutense Ricardo Montacuto, en una playa ubicada en una zona casi inaccesible de Península Valdés, haciendo la cobertura para diario EL CHUBUT.
