English: "The Dog", in 1874, at the Quinta de Goya. Photo by J. Laurent, on the wall of the old house of Goya. Series of Black Paintings, before being transferred to canvas. The Dog is the name usually given to a painting by Spanish artist Francisco Goya, now in the Museo del Prado, Madrid.
The image was obtained by scanning the original glass negative, wet collodion, format 27 x 36 centimeters, which is preserved in the Archives Ruiz Vernacci. IPCE Photo Library. Madrid. Possibly, Laurent photographed "The Dog" with electric light. |
