Description
English: Plaque in tribute to King Alfonso X of Castile on the bust created by José María Hernández Dólera. It reads:

"Loyalty is something that guides men in all their actions, so that they always do their best."
To King Alfonso X the Wise, who loved Cartagena, giving its fueros and municipal term and dreamed of it as the capital of Castile in the Mediterranean, founding the Order of Saint Mary of Spain for fechos allend mar ("overseas matters"). The city of Cartagena on the 800th anniversary of his birth. November 2021.

Español: Placa en homenaje al rey Alfonso X de Castilla en el busto creado por José María Hernández Dólera. En ella se lee:

«Lealtad es cosa que dirige a los hombres en todos sus hechos, para que hagan siempre lo mejor».
Al rey Alfonso X el Sabio, que amó a Cartagena, dando sus fueros y término concejil y soñó con ella como capital de Castilla en el Mediterráneo, fundando la Orden de Santa María de España para fechos allend mar. La ciudad de Cartagena en el 800 aniversario de su nacimiento. Noviembre de 2021.
