Description
Français : Cette plaque commémorative a été apposée le 9 février 1988 sur l'ancien lieu d'habitation d'Henri Dunant, l'un des fondateurs de la Croix rouge. Elle se trouve à la rue du Puits-Saint-Pierre 4 à Genève. C'est dans cet immeuble qu'il écrivit son livre "Un Souvenir de Solferino", qu'eu lieu les premières réunions informelles pour discuter des secours aux blessés de guerres et qui aboutiront plus tard dans d'autres lieux, à la création du Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR).
English: This plaque was affixed 9 February 1988 on the former place of residence of Henry Dunant, one of the founders of the Red Cross. It is the rue du Puits-St-Pierre 4 in Geneva. It was in this building that he wrote his book "A Memory of Solferino" that, having held the first informal meetings to discuss aid to the wounded in wars and culminating later in other places, the creation of international Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
