Description Traffic on the Paseo de Recoletos passing through the roundabout at Cibeles in Madrid. The view of Cibeles Palace (built in 1909 and since 2007, Madrid City Hall) is one of the most famous in Madrid. The fountain is named after Cybele, a Roman goddess of fertility - depicted riding the chariot in the fountain.
