Cavenee Label Copy: "Peasant women carrying rakes and shouldering basketsprobably filled with mushroomstread along a winding path through the mountains in autumn. Two pause to listen to the far cry of a stag on a distant mountain crest. Hokusai cleverly arranged his composition so that the deer are the central focus despite their diminutive size. The poem about the lonely stags love-sick cry was written by a commoner, who himself dwelt in the mountains near Kyoto." Label Copy (Spanish): "Las campesinas que llevan rastrillos y canastas al hombro probablemente llenas de hongos andan por un sendero sinuoso que atraviesa las montaas en otoo. Dos de ellas pausan para escuchar el aullido distante de un venado en una montaa lejana. Hokusai ingeniosamente dispuso su composicin para que los venados fueran el foco central a pesar de su tamao diminuto.
