Summary

[edit]
Description This structurally deficient 124-foot single span steel pony truss bridge was replaced as part of an FHWA, Highways for LIFE supported Wisconsin DOT demonstration project on use of innovative technologies to reconstruct a series of existing bridges on WIS 25 between Nelson, WI and Wabasha, MN. The new superstructure used prestressed concrete girders and a new deck made of HPC. A temporary bypass bridge was also used during construction.
