Description
English: Population structure within Asia: A.) Principal component analysis (PCA) on subgroups belonging to four Indian mainland populations (ANI, ASI, ATB, and AAI), two Malaysian populations (AAM, ANS), and two populations from HGDP dataset (CSA and EA). Each dot represents an individual and each color represents a population. B.) The geographic location of the subgroups of the different populations used in the PCA. Each dot is a subgroup and each color of dots corresponds to the population to which they belong. The population color codes are the same as used in PCA.

CSA: "Central South Asian" (Iranian-speaking Baloch, Pashtun, Hazara, as well as Kalash, Burusho) ANI: "Ancestral North Indian" (Caste groups, both Indo-Aryan and Dravidian speakers) ASI: "Ancestral South Indian" (Tribal South Indian Dravidian-speakers) AAI: "Austroasiatics of India (Central Indian Austroasiatic-speakers, Dravidian-speaking Gond) ATB: "Ancestral Tibeto-Burman" (Tibeto-Burmese speakers in India) AAM: Austroasiatic of Malaysia" (Semang; Maniq, Batek) ANS: Austronesian (Malays)

EA: (Northern) East Asian (Han, Korean, Japanese, Yakut)
