Description
Português: Porta da Cidade, na cidade de Silves, em Portugal. Foi construída após a reconquista definitiva de Silves, e foi a principal entrada da povoação durante vários séculos. É conhecida como Porta da Almedina, em referência à antiga porta islâmica situada nesta área, a qual substituiu.
English: Porta da Cidade (City Gate), in the city of Silves, in southern Portugal. It was built after the definitive reconquer of Silves by the christians, and during several centuries was the main entrance of the town. It is also known as the Almedina Gate, located nearby, that was the main entrance during the islamic era.
