Description
English: Portrait of the ‘Newcastle’; fourth rate, built in 1653, 54 guns, she was rebuilt in 1692 and wrecked in 1703. She is viewed from the port beam. The drawing is an offset rubbed on the back, accurately worked up with pencil.
