Portret van Maria Custers, de moeder van de schilder Eugène Wolters. Oude dame, borststuk, aanziend. Ze is gekleed in een donkergrijze japon met knoopjes op de borst en een strik onder de kraag. Ze draagt een donkergrijze muts met lange flappen langs de oren. Lang krullend grijs haar. Norse blik.
