Bildunterschrift in der Brandenburgia: „Premier(e) Vue du Chateau Royal et de la Ville & Lorangeri et environs Prise de la Montagne de la Brasserie, vis a vis de Sanssouci. Die fehlerhafte Unterschrift ist dem Originalstich entnommen, dieser ist hier zum ersten Mal veröffentlicht. Der Ausblick umfaßt Garnisonkirche, Lustgarten, Schloß, Katharinenkirche (später St. Nicolai), Rathaus. Der vorn im Sande ruhende Säulenknauf ist ein Überbleibsel der einstigen Kaskadenanlage, daneben eine lebensvolle Jagdgruppe, links das Königl. Brauhaus.“ Leipziger Straße; die Schloß und Marstall verbindende Kolonnade überragt vom Plögerschem Gasthof, vor den Bäumen des Lustgartens das ehem. Triebwerk für die Wasserkünste, unter Friedrich Wilhelm I als Pulvermagazin benutzt, rechts über die Havel die Lange Brücke mit dem Teltower Tor.
