Português: A sua longa faixa de areia, de, aproximadamente, 3200 metros (com variação de largura entre 2 e 50 metros), proporciona à praia diferenças nas características naturais. Enquanto que em alguns trechos as ondas são pequenas e calmas, em outros, como o norte, elas são agitadas e propícias ao surf. A ausência de repuxo é uma característica das águas.
As areias são claras e finas que se misturam à água límpida, que pode ficar bastante fria nos meses de outono e inverno. A Praia da Armação faz limite ao sul com a Ponta das Companhas, por onde passa o rio sangradouro. É a marca que divide a Praia da Armação da Praia do Matadeiro. Ao norte, o limite fica por conta do Morro das Pedras. A parte norte da praia é menos habitada, a areia fica envolta de água de um lado e a vegetação nativa do outro. A parte sul possui mais serviços, casas e movimentação. É uma região sujeita a ressacas do mar, que pode atingir perigosamente as casas e construções à beira da praia. |
