Summary
[edit]DescriptionPre-clearance Millennium Project site - ANC Feb 2013.jpg |
English: A portion of the woods that constitute the Millennium Project at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, in the United States on February 6, 2013.
The Millennium Project will clear 27 acres of property on the cemtery grounds, and add an additional 30,000 burial and inurnment sites. The land lacks archeological integrity, as it has been extensively disturbed since the American Civil War. The Project plan will save many of the older trees while removing the younger ones, as well as removing invasive plant species like English Ivy, Japanese Wisteria and Euonymus alata. |
